America has spoken

I am not at all surprised by the choice our nation has made for President during this election. In essence, as a whole, our nation has spoken. Much like Israel did when they rejected Christ, the United States has said, "We will not have this man to reign over us" (Luke 19:14). As a nation, Israel didn't want Christ to reign over them and neither does the United States.

There is a remnant of Christians in America, but that is all it is, and a very small remnant at that. We who are saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ would have Him reign over us and He does and shall, but as for the majority of our nation, they have turned every one to his own way.

Just as Israel in Isaiah 1, America is a sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evil doers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger. They are gone away backward.

Though our nation is sinful and headed for certain judgment at the hand of God, we as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ need not fear. Our Sovereign God has raised up the very man He will use to accomplish His purpose for the United States of America.

I believe before God spoke one thing into existence, He laid out a plan for mankind and is carrying out that plan right now. The stage is set for the return of our Lord...our redemption draweth nigh.

Let us keep our eyes upon Him and not on the circumstances that surround us. We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

So be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (Deuteronomy 31:6).

NEVER ONCE
(by Matt Redman, Jason Ingram, Tim Wanstall)

Standing on this mountain top
Looking just how far we've come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us

Kneeling on this battleground
Seeing just how much You've done
Knowing every victory was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But, with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say...

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own

You are faithful
God, You are faithful

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say...

Never once did we ever walk alone

Carried by Your constant grace
Held within Your perfect peace

Never once, no we never walk alone

Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we'll be breathing out Your praise

You are faithful
God, You are faithful.
